Short Biography

Born in Bristol, 1962

 

Educated at Reading School Higher education at the University of Bristol (BA Hons 1984, M.Mus 1988)  Studied composition under Derek Bourgeois, Robert Saxton, Adrian Beaumont; Advanced studies also as an organist and choir trainer currently a final year PhD student (research by musical composition), studying with John Pickard. 1987-2002, Director of Music at Bilton Grange School, Rugby

 

in 2002 began a freelance career

 

Currently Director of Music, St Andrew's Church, Rugby; visiting music staff Uppingham School; ABRSM examiner, accompanist to Daventry Choral Society Married to the violinist Cathy Scott-Burt, with 4 children
