My music is based on the belief that "The music of today inevitably, and perhaps necessarily, embraces the music of all previous ages..."

My writing seeks beauty in both the familiar and the unfamiliar, and covers a broad spectrum of style, from the popular and commercial to the experimental, intellectual and challenging, lending the same artistic rigour and technical craftsmanship to everything from traditional music for churches and schools to the more modernist work for professional performers.
